I am primarily responsible for carrying out fieldwork and managing the data associated with long-term water quality monitoring of both estuarine and freshwater systems.

Sometimes I act as a scientific investigator (grant writing, project coordination, data analysis and reporting), sometimes as an educator, and sometimes as a convener.

I work to help make estuarine science understandable for and accessible to a broad array of citizens and government officials who care about the health of Chesapeake Bay.
